Honeysuckle is a medicinal plant commonly used in Asian countries. In this study, 7 Lonicera were classified and evaluated for active ingredients. The results of scientific name assessment of 7 collected accessions showed that 1 accession belonged to Lonicera japonica Thunb. species, 1 accession belonged to Lonicera sinomacrantha Z. H. Chen, L. X. Ye & X. F. Jin. species, the remaining 5 accessions belong to two other Lonicera sp. species, Caprifoliaceae family. The chlorogenic acid content of the collected accessions varied from 0.04 - 0.44%. Among them, the accession belongs to Lonicera japonica Thunb. species has the highest chlorogenic acid content, so it is recommended to expand the growing area. The results of scientific name assessment and analysis of chlorogenic acid content provide data to identify local honeysuckle species and guide the development of honeysuckle medicinal production areas in Dak Lak province.
