With the purpose of identifying fungal strains that cause wilt disease on melon and selecting disease-resistant rootstocks of melon, the content of the research focuses on isolating and selecting fungal strains that cause wilt disease and evaluating resistance ability. Diseases of some cucurbit crops. Research results determined that fungal strain A III.5.2 isolated from melon in An Phu belongs to the species Fusarium oxysporum with a disease index of 71.9% and a disease rate of 100% after 15 days of infection under these conditions. Greenhouses and luffa have the ability to resist Fusarium spp. causing wilt disease on melon with disease index and disease rate of 25% and 0%, respectively. Luffa can be used as a melon rootstock that is resistant to wilt disease.
