The experiment was conducted on 15 Daixuyen Sea ducks at Daixuyen Duck Breeding and Research Center through 4 generations. ĐX15.1 male line selected improve body weight at 7 weeks of age, ĐX15.2 female line improve egg production at 20 weeks of lay. Estimate genetic parameters, predict EBV by using VCE6 and PEST softwares. Select breeding ducks with the highest EBV in body weight at 7 weeks of age for ĐX15.1 and highest egg production after 20 weeks of lay for ĐX15.2. The results showed that: ĐX15.1 male duck line at 7 weeks of age in the 4th generation was 2,605.63 g/female and 2,754.32 g/male, higher than that of initial generation was 237.10 and 316.56 g/duck, equivalent to 10.01 and 12.99%, egg production at 52 weeks of lay from 222.04 - 223,01 eggs per female, represented stability in egg performance across selected generations, feed consumtion per 10 eggs was 3.23 kg. Female ĐX15.2 line with a body weight at 8 weeks age was 1790.11 g/male, 1760.97 g/female, 4th generation egg production was 263.07 eggs/female/52 weeks of lay, higher than that of control herd was 238.35 eggs/female/52 weeks of lay corresponding to 10.37%, embryo rate was high with 94.04%, the hatchability rate/eggs with embryos was over 90.09%.
