Abstract

The study was proposed to find a suitable agriculture waste ratio of by-products from pineapple cultivation for manufacturing a biofertilizer containing phosphorus solubilizing purple nonsulfur bacteria. The experiment was completely randomized with five bacterial strain (The negative control, W25, W42, W48 and the mixture of W25, W42, W48) combined with 4 ratios of agriculture waste (Rice straw: pineapple leaves: husk ask at 2: 2: 1; 1: 3: 1; 0: 4: 1; 4: 0: 1), with 3 replications. The results revealed that the C/N ratio in the treatments with W25 or the mixture of the strains W25, W42 and W48 combined with carrier-substrate of pineapple leaves: husk ash: rice straw at 1: 3: 1 and 0: 4: 1 was greater than the treatment with the W42 strain after four weeks of incubation. On the contrary, at the 2: 2: 1 carrier - substrate ratio, the treatment with the W42 strain outweighed the treatment with the W25 strain and the treatment with the mixture of the three strains W25, W42, W48. Furthermore, the treatment with the mixture of the three strains W25, W42, W48 improved the total N content at the ratios of 1: 3: 1 and 0: 4: 1 by 15.4 and 33.6%, respectively. Moreover, at the carrier - substrate ratio 4: 0: 1, the control treatment had the greater total C content than the others’ treatments, which ranged from 21.0 to 25.4%. The proper agriculture waste ratios were 2: 2: 1; 1: 3: 1; 0: 4: 1, corresponding to effective strains of W48, W42, W48.
