To preserve the genetic resources of indigenous black rabbit in the Mekong delta region, the vitrification method for cryopreserving black rabbit sperm was studied. The research investigated the effect of sucrose and glycerol concentrations in the preservation medium on sperm quality after vitrification. The results showed that the concentrations of sucrose and glycerol significantly affected parameters such as acrosome integrity, total motility, and sperm viability. A concentration of 0.25M sucrose and 4% glycerol yielded the best results in terms of sperm quality. This study contributes to the conservation of local genetic resources and future population restoration.
