The study was conducted to evaluate the effect of protein levels in feeding on growth and
survival rate of the Spinibarbus denticulatus large fingerlings stage. The experiment was randomly set up with 3 treatments and 3 replications. The Spinibarbus denticulatus (20 ± 1.46 g) was nursed in para (2.0 x 1.0 x 1.5 m) with the density of 100 fish/m2 for the duration of 60 days. In this study, five different protein levels (28%, 30% and 32%). Survival rate, mean weight, FCR were observed in this study. The results showed that survival rate of fish was not affected by the protein content in food. Daily weigth growth of fish was highest at the protein of 32% and significantly different (P < 0.05) from the other treatments. In addition, the lowest FCR was gained by feeding pellet feed of 32% protein. Besides, protein efficiency used was highest with feed protein level of 32%. Therefore, feed protein level was the most suitable for Spinibarbus denticulatus at 32% CP.
