This study aims to evaluate the economic efficiency and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions of the organic rice production model directed by circular agriculture in the lightly saline contaminated rice land, Long Duc commune, Long Phu district, Soc Trang province. Research results show that the organic rice production model directed by circular agriculture gives an average profit of 92.3 million VND/ha/year, 1.24 times higher than the traditional model. The profit level of the organic model is higher than that of the conventional model because the yield increases by 1.4% and the rice price of the organic model is 35% higher than that of the traditional model. However, because the input costs are significantly higher than the conventional model, the investment efficiency is lower than the traditional model and the organic model's profit/total cost indicator is 1.55 times lower than the level of 2.04 times of the conventional model. The effectiveness of reducing greenhouse gas emissions of the organic rice production model directed by circular agriculture is apparent compared to the traditional rice production model. Specifically, the organic model has a total greenhouse gas emission of 11.8 tons CO2eq/ha/year, 12.8 tons CO2eq lower than the traditional model, corresponding to a reduction efficiency of up to 52%.
